The Stand-Up Lifesource Blood Pressure Monitor UA-853AC – One Real Workhorse of a Monitor
Many of my readers know that I really get into blood pressure monitor reviews. Being a long time member of the medical product review community, I know all too well, how dangerous not being proactive about your health can be. I like to call this HCL (Health Care Laziness), and far more people are guilty of it than would like to admit.
Many older people depend on blood pressure monitors to maintain good cardiovascular health. I don’t write these reviews, because I enjoy them; I write them because they provide information to people about important products. If it were my decision, I would make blood pressure monitors in the home mandatory.
I suppose I’ve rambled on long enough, it’s time to actually review the Lifesource UA-853AC Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor. I usually like to review the more portable types (because I travel a lot myself) of blood pressure monitor. However, I must admit that the best of those cannot compete with the accuracy or reporting features, of a unit like the UA-853AC. The Lifesource UA-853AC leaves nothing lacking, when comes to available features in a home monitor.
The Lifesource monitor boasts solid engineering and first-rate accuracy. This monitor is definitely as cheap as some other available models; but I would not consider it expensive either. If you consider all of the features offered by this monitor, then it is definitely one of the better values available.
My favorite feature of the Lifesource UA-853CP monitor is the Irregular Heartbeat Detection technology it uses. IHD allows a user to know when irregularities occur that could be signs of arrhythmia issues. IHD Detection information provided by the monitor will help a physician in properly charting a course of action I cannot begin to tell how very important this feature could prove for many people who suffer arrhythmia conditions. The technology is mature and well developed; moreover, the detection technology used in monitors like the UA-853AC monitor has already added years to many users’s lives. Early detection leads to a better chance of correcting a defective condition.
The TimeWise system, used by the Lifesource UA-853AC, makes the monitor aware of both morning and evening BP readings, and is another very useful and informative feature. The Lifesource monitor can also tell you the averages for both morning and evening readings. Armed with this helpful information, a doctor can better evaluate medicine dosage levels. Those taking medication for high blood pressure or hypertension are aware that many times day and night dosages can vary. Taking these reports to your doctor will only to serve to make him more effective in your treatment.
The Lifesource UA-853AC also has the ability to ring an alarm at 3 different times to remind you to take your medication (a nice touch for the slightly absentminded) It also has a logging feature that stores your last ninety pressure check results. Again, doctors love these; they are great for helping them evaluate effectiveness of medications and other type treatments. With its large LCD Display, reading your pressure check result is easy and understandable.

On the whole, the Lifesource Monitor UA-853AC is a premium quality Blood Pressure Monitor that gives you everything you would expect and more. This monitor is not really designed to be portable, so taking it with you on quick trips won’t be as convenient as with some smaller units.
With reasonable care and use, this Lifesource Monitor will provide you with years of quality and accurate Blood Pressure Results. The UA-853AC offers a lot for the price you pay. This workhorse performs.
