Hi We have replaced Three lamps in our TV since July of this year. The bulb only last 3 to 4 days max.?
The bulb only last 3 to 4 days max. What possibly be the problem ? It is a Mitsubishi WD-57734
only two things could be happening and the first is very unlikely.
1) the lamp fan is not working--unlikely because there would be an error code and the set would not operate at all.
2) There is a clogged lamp fan airway or filter.
Are you replacing the whole lamp and housing or just the bulb inside the housing? If you are replacing just the glass then this is probably one of these Mits models that has a screen on the lamp housing about 3/4" X 2" that clogs up with dust that usually turns metal grey because of the heat. Its a screen that looks very much like metal. When you find it----remove it and this will cure your problem. ALL OF THE cooling air goes through this screen--the replacement housings came with a screen with much larger holes---but could still clog up
