how to improve the dialogue quality of center channel in home theater.am using a yamaha rxv650?
am using a yamaha rxv 650 av/receiver,the center channel sound is not exactly what i require,i need a bit more through center channel, there is an option as center geq,how to caliberate this?to have a better sound quality or the dialogue quality through center channnel
First, turn down your L&R front speakers and raise the level of your CC. If you don't know how to do this, look for instructions in your Yamaha owner's manual.
If that doesn't give you the results you desire, I would recommend going with a higher-fidelity center channel that matches with your front speakers.
Look for a high-sensitivity center channel that is rated at least at the same level as your front speakers (if your fronts are 90 dB, then go for a center that is 90 dB on up). For a noticeable increase in speaker sensitivity, find one that is at least 3 dB higher than what you are currently using.
