computer monitor fell?
My computer monitor accidentally fell of its Stand. The problem as a result..., is that half of the screen is black, and the other half displays the information with no problem. If i Scroll up, i can view the additional text and or information, but of course the previous information is out of view. I would like to know if this issue will rectify itself --meaning will the color return so that i can see the full view? Or do i need to just invest in a new monitor.
My operating system is Windows vista the monitor is ACER
Thanks, Marti, S. I adjusted the connector that has the pins. I was then able to view the full screen, but suddenly it started to fade at the bottom again.
I doubt that the problem will fix itself. It sounds like maybe there is a hairline crack in your display so that only half of it still works. You probably need to replace it.
Make sure that the video cable is plugged in all of the way and that none of the pins on the cable connector are bent, since that's another possible cause of this problem.
