Convert AV signal to something that works on my HDTV?
Ok, so I have a Sony Bravia HDTV. The only standard input it has is a green composite video and red/white audio plugs. I was planning on buying an old NES and since it only has AV cables, is there any way I am going to be able to view the game on my TV? The TV also has component and HDMI plugs if that helps. Thanks in advance.
I may not have seen every Sony Bravia that exists, but the ones I've looked at all have the common suite of inputs: HDMI, component, and composite (A-V). If your device has a composite output (yellow-red-white), it should be a direct match for the same jack set on the TV.
You mention a green video composite jack in your question. Not likely, but I suppose anything is possible. The standard for composite video input is yellow (the A-V jacks). A green jack is part of the component input set (red-blue-green video and red-white audio).
