Converter Plasma Hdtv

i have a dtv question?

i have a plasma tv that is capable of receiving the digital signal in the air...when i place hook up the hdtv antenna to the tv i do not get digital tv....now i went and bought the converter box and now i get 12 channels anyone know y this is and its a brand new tv please any feedback would be great

Did you set the plasma set for "antenna" tuning? When I bought my new Toshiba, it was set for cable tuning right out of the box.

Should you buy an LCD or Plasma HDTV?
