Keep Those Graphics on Their Best Display
Graphic Care: Chances are your Trade Show Graphics are laminated and scratch resistant - designed for constant rolling, packing and installing. However, even the best graphics will lose visual appeal if they are not maintained properly and that in turn can reflect poorly on your company’s brand image.
Although, we all know that it’s best to take care when packing away your displays - after a long show we may not. Hasty packing can result in damage – anytime you find yourself trying to force something to fit – STOP! The repair bills aren’t worth it.
Keep your graphics looking good – to clean inkjet graphics use a mild cleaner such as Windex in a highly diluted form. Keep moisture away from the edges of the graphics to ensure that it doesn’t seep between the layers of laminate protecting the vinyl graphics inside. Minor scratches can be touched up with a colour matching marker however large dents, chips or scratches may mean replacing the panel. And unfortunately, matching a new panel to existing ones may be impossible which in turn may mean re-printing all the panels – a very costly consequence best avoided by following these simple tips:
Graphic Panel Care:
- Roll panels image out
- Roll each panel separately and place one at a time in booth
- Roll panels in a 12†radius
- Store @ room temperature
- Hubs, vertical/horizontal bars – gentle – they are expensive to replace
Banner Stand Care:
- Roll graphics back into retractable stands gently – if it doesn’t go in don’t force it – you could damage the graphics.
- Non – Retractable stands are lightweight and portable but don’t provide much protection to the banner when rolled – don’t roll too tightly and insert gently into carrying bag.
Soft vs. Hard Cases:
- Protect your displays with a carrying case. Most banner stands come with some sort of soft case but if you are travelling a lot think about investing in a padded case or even a hard case.
- Hard cases may be bulky but most come with wheels – making it easy to manoeuvre around in airports and finding your booth space at large tradeshows.
Following these simple tips can ensure your graphics and hardware kits stand the test of time and keep your brand image looking great.
