Do Anti-Glare screen have any benefit when used on LCD monitors? Scientific answers prefered please!?
I use one on me LCD screen at work, some people don't as they say you don't get glare from LCD screens (we use Dell's). I figure it's not going to do any harm but some people say the glass of the screen reflects light (as in from light bulbs!) but surely that's what they were designed to alliveiate?
Also what is glare?!
As I said, if possible, it would be nice to have some scientific reasoning for this. Thanks everyone!
the anti glare screen uses depolarizing technology to diffuse the light reflected off your screen and reduce the glare, HOWEVER it does reflect SOME light on it's own...little background...
your standard monitor (flat screen or standard) is composed of Glass and Gasses the Glass reflects light, similar to how a window or mirror does. where as a LCD screen (Liquid Christal Display) has a non reflective plastic cover over it that doesn't reflect light at all, hope I helped
