Where can I find a Toshiba 50A61 rear projection tv replacement lamp / bulb?
I need a new bulb for my Toshiba 50A61 rear projection tv. Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find one. The tv is about 4 years old. Any help would be appreciated.
First, get out your INSTRUCTION BOOK....
Look inside for Replacing your Lamp...
There should be a 800 number to call Toshiba directly and maybe a LAMP part number in there too....
Call them.
DON'T buy it off the INTERNET for 1/2 price, we found out many of these lamps are actually SUBSTANDARD and can fail within months of purchase...then you get another one under warranty, and another one under warranty, and another one under warranty and another and another and another, until the warranty expires....
And you lose all that time, and money for shipping.....
And that just plain sucks.....
The Toshiba lamps you can trust.....
WAIT A MINUTE.....THAT'S NOT A DLP!
The 50A61 is a CRT PROJECTION TV SET!!
You don't replace LAMPS on it.....you don't replace BULBS either....you replace the red green or blue CRT....you replace the Convergence amps...but no bulbs. At 4 years old, you don't have bad CRTs in MOST cases..You may have a bad convergence amp at 4 years, but not the CRT.
What is really going on with your TV set? What does it do and what does it NOT DO??
