DLP (Digital Light Processing) , plasma, LCD (Liquid Crystal Diode ?
Can someone give me some information on these TV's, and which is the best one to buy?

if you have the room for it and your floor can handle the weight, a regular cathode tube tv is actually the best. they are available in HD, are usually a LOT cheaper than other big-screens, and the time-proven technology is fine-tuned to damn-near perfection. there is no image shimmer, the refresh times are relatively fast, yet they weigh a ton and some are very deep. DLP is second best, but most expensive and still cannot be mounted on a wall. plasma and lcd are about the same quality, and you can mount them anywhere you want. lcd's have gotten realatively inexpensive over the years, and plasmas have started to drop in price. depends on what you want, but (and some people will dog me for being old-fashioned on this one) CRTs are the best.
