How do I get rid of the blown out white on the Samsung 2232gw?

I just bought a Samsung 2232gw LCD monitor. The screen in too bright and the white appears blown way out of proportion. I tried adjusting the brightness and contrast. However, I can't seem to get rid of the very, very bright white. The Magic Color is very confusing and many features are not available. I'm using an Nvidia 6800 Ultra AGP video card.

Replace the screen.
