What is wrong with my monitor?
I have a vista laptop and sometimes when i watch something or doing something..the screen goes off. I dont kow what happened..it just goes off..but the video is still there playin. if there is any programme running, it wil contrinue running..but i cant see it. The screen colour would be ash or blue colour. No writing (unlike the blue screen). even if i press cntrl+alt+del..it wont show anything. but it will appear there. I need to either turn of the laptop or put in stand by to see everything normal..i need to resume the stand by to see everything normal. Does anyone konw what is the problem...Please help me
There's nothing wrong with your machine. It's on powersaving. To reappear the screen just click the on button. In order to turn this off for longer or off permanently go into Control Panel, double left click on Display. in the tab click on Screen Saver, once there you will see Monitor Power click on Power, here is where you can select different options for your hard disk and Monitor. Obviously the more power you use the worst it gets for the environment. But I wouldn't set it off I would set it for 2hours this gives you enough time to see a film. Then it would save power after that time.
The choice is yours.
