How to connect two laptops using VGA cable?
I have two Toshiba laptops, one newer model and one older model and I want to connect the laptop screens as if you would with dual monitors. So I would like to drag a program screen into the other screen to save screen space(screen share) - if you understand that. I have a VGA cable which is like the one you connect from a tower to a monitor(the one with two screws either side, most of time blue, it's double sided and same each side). This lead connects perfectly in to both laptops, and the laptops recognise that they are connected. The problem is that when I drag a program - it does go out of the screen - it just doesn't appear in the other screen. What could I be doing wrong?
If it helps, I'm using windows vista. If you need any specs for some reason, just say.
Okay, so I understand it won't work with two laptops. But how about with a laptop and a desktop monitor?
Maybe because the VGA ports on both laptops are outputs. The VGA port on a regular monitor is an input.
