I wnt to no wht prongs on t mobo pwr btn connctr shld I tch wth a screw driver? I tried it & 1 time it started
My PC won't start up and the power supply is good. Well, without the power button assembly plugged into the mobo, it started up but nothing appeared on the monitor. I know about no monitor coming up. Maybe my RAM sticks need to be realigned back in, etc....
I know I can take a power reading with a multi-meter. Where would I touch the two terminals. Please be specific. Also what readings should I get if the power button assembly is good?
follow the two wires to m/b from switch, unplug connector, ohm the switch(the two contact points going back to the switch and make sure the ac plug is undone), should read zero ohms and then after you switch, infinite ohms
