Can I take the driving test with a non-functional driver-side window?
I live in Southern California and I'm wondering if I can take the driving test if my driver-side window doesn't work. It doesn't open as it is an old car. Will they reject me and tell me to return with a different car or something? I heard they ask you to identify parts in the car such as the defroster etc, but how can I do this if my window doesn't open? Is a functional window part of the requirements for safe driving?
Functional window is not a safety thing, as if needed it will either break or can be broken. The instructor will however check to see if the lights/signals, etc,are working properly. I don't THINK he'll dock for non working window (cuz that would be stupid and i did my test almost 10 years ago lol), but you will need to be able to hear if he calls for a different signal
