Can Viruses be transmitted via iPods?
I just bought a brand new XPS laptop. I'm switching from an older PC, on which I used to download MP3s onto for my iPod. I assumed there must have been some viruses on my old PC with how much i downloaded, and more than likely some came from those MP3s. Im skeptical towards plugging my old ipod, which has all these files, to my new notebook. When iTunes uploads all the files to the notebook, does anyone know if viruses can potentially be transferred? or perhaps if there is some way to filter them out? any help is really appreciated!
Yes. iPod is just another way of storing your media files. If they are already infected then when you transfer them from your iPod to another harddrive for example, they will carry the virus with them.
