DLP Projection lens replacement?
I bought a 50" RCA DLP TV at a yard sale in near perfect condition, or so I thought. The picture is very blurry, to the point where I can't watch or play anything in HD at all on it (watching cable is fine as it's fuzzy as is). I took the TV apart to try to find the problem and I came across this lens that screws off, I'd say it's about 3 inches in diameter. The problem is, after holding the lens up to the light, that the lens is very hazy and it seems to be inside the lens as it cant be cleaned off. If I were to describe exactly what it looks like, its like this rectangle image burned into the lens and it seems to slightly take on a different hues in light. To wrap this up I was wondering exactly what this thing is called and can it be replaced? Thanks in advance and sorry about all the details -.-
Try to go on ebay or google shopping and search for 'model number here lens'
Obviously use the actual model number in your search. It should yield something. You can also try going to your local TV repair shop and ask them. You might need to look harder for them.
