Retractable Projector Screen

retractable projector screen problem?

I have a roll-up projector screen that you pull down and it is supposed to go up. It is mounted to the ceiling and pulls down, anyways I was playing a video game and got mad and I threw a pillow at it (don't ask) well it rolled all the way up very fast, since then it will only go up part of the way it is impossible to get it to go up all the way. Is there anyway to fix this, my guess is there is something broken but I have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance for the answers. I am also open to redneck/jimmy rigged ideas.

oh it was mario party 8 and the wii mote would not read the sensor bar and I lost the game so I threw the pillow at it haha. I didn't think anything would happen.

I wonder what kind of game your playing....just curious. Anyway chances are that nothing is broken however the only way to fix this is to remove the cover (if any) and then pull the screen al the way down to have a better view of the roller mechanism. Check for alignment of the material, check also the tensioner or spring and gears if any. Be careful not to disassemble it because it is quite difficult to deal with tension oriented items like this.
