Retractable Projector
Home theater LCD projector or LCD TV?

I'm shopping around for one or the other, but I do want seriously BIG.

Projector I can go 80" plus no problem at 780p. I'm worried about ambient light and color resolution. I don't want to have to make the room totally dark to be able to see the picture, and I've heard colors are off, and black is hard to achieve.
TVs that large are mostly only available new and I've heard they have problems and need bulb replacement fairly often at quite a sum.

I haven't owned or really used a projector at all, and not too much experience with the larger TVs either, just watched on friend's and asked them what they thought about them.

I'm shopping used for the projector, can only find new for the TVs.
This is the one i'm looking at right now:

http://www.amazon.com/Epson-80-Inch-Aspect-Projection-Portable/dp/B000HRYV38

for $450, with an 80" wall mount retractable screen for $100.

Advice?

I would get a short throw projector. I have the infocus 1503 and from around 5 1/2 feet i can get a 109" screen that i use for everything (tv, ps3, dvds and blu ray(via ps3)) . And you can even get projectors around 700 that have a even shorter throw and just as good of a picture.
