Which screen on my phone is broken?
I have a touch screen phone that when turned on has lines going across it. I'm looking to replace it myself as the warranty has expired but I'm abit unsure which is the right one. I have two options, buying an LCD screen or a Touch Screen Digitizer. The phone doesn't look cracked when turned off. Does this mean that I only need to buy the touch screen digitizer?
It sounds like the LCD could be damaged. However, there could be other components that could control the screen. Just to let you know, replacing the LCD screen on a phone is a challenging process.
PS. My advice only applies if the lines are straight (horizontal and/or vertical)
