Cable TV Reception Problems?
Have 4 TV's hooked to a Splitter/Amplifier. They work fine. Hooked an additional TV from a splitter from the fourth TV. This cable is about 100 ft long. I get no reception even though I added an in-line amplifier between the fifth TV and splitter. Checked all connections. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Get rid of the in-line amp. You should have enough signal to drive a 100 foot line. I00' does not loose that much signal.
Here is what I suggest. Take port 3 on the splitter/amp and connect to a 2 way splitter to that port. Take the TV line 3 and 4 to that splitter.
Put the 100' line 5 on port 4.
You should have plenty of signal for all sets with that setup.
