My old 'Little Big Adventure' game won't work on XP.?
I guess the excuse for it not working is because it was made for Windows 95 and was first published on 14th October 1994.
But I think it should be able to work because in the properties, I changed the compatibility to Windows 95 and 256 colours.
When I do this, the first sceen comes on, which is just the advertisment of who made the game. Then the program crashs so t goes to desktop where the is a little Dos windows saying that the game cannot find the CD, even though it is in.
The system requiements are:
Pentium 100 Mhz
Quad speed CD-ROM drive
PCI Local bus SVGA card with 2 MB of RAM
17 inch monitor
8 MB of memory
Sound Blaster AWE32 (Stereo 16 bits Sound FX + Midi Music)
Hi-Fi Power Stereo Amplifier + Speakers
and I currently have:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz
1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT 256MB
66.2GB free hard disk space
Windows XP Home Edition
17 inch monitor
Realtek AC97 Audio
Speakers
1xDVD ROM
1x 48 speed CD ROM
Since LBA is an MS-DOS game, you might like to try DOSBoxs to run it.
Or, maybe try the Windows port of the game.
