How to share a broadband internet connection between two computers using a hardware switch?
I have an ADSL broadband internet connection. I also have a 8 port switch. I wanted to share the internet connection between two of my computers. I tried connecting two computers using the switch. And then connecting the ADSL connection to one of the ports of switch. However Internet connection is not shared between those two desktops. How to solve this?
You will need a router to accomplish this in the easiest, most plug and play -ish way.
All the major manufacturers include EASY setup instructions, so basically you are tasked with finding the best deal. Wireless routers with four wired ports are the most common configuration so your best deal will likely be one of those.
