Is it possible to convert a VGA or DVI connector into an s-video connector?
I have some video equipment that requires a monitor/tv hookup via an s-video connector.
Is there any way to convert a PC monitor, which has either a VGA or DVI connector, into an s-video connector, so that it can be used with my video equipment that calls for an s-video connection?
If so, what adapter or device do I need to make the conversion?
THanks
Yes, there are adapters made that will convert VGA into S-Video.
Here's one: http://www.amazon.com/VGA-Adapter-S-Video-Cable-Video/dp/B000Y7T5UU
I do not think you can likely run -S-video into an adapter and get it to work with a DVI port. While DVI theoretically supports both digital and analog feeds, it's unknown whether your computer monitor will use an analog signal delivered via the DVI port.

I'd stick with the VGA-S-Video adapters. I've sued them myself with success.
