Do you hate wallpaper borders on the top of the wall by the ceiling?
Am I the only one who sees wallpaper borders that are placed up by the ceiling as tacky? I feel this way because it looks like you couldn't cut in with the paint properly so you just put up a border. Also, I have heard that Interior decorators dislike them placed up high too. I went to a model home and they had a border in the middle of the wall with coordinating wallpaper above and below it. I like that, but up near the ceiling yuck!
Coordinating borders, or egg-and-dart, grecian figures, etc. near the ceiling are just fine for Victorian, Edwardian, and Tudor decorating schemes.
What you like--chair rail separating border--just happens to work for more types.
